Artworks of Light: Duo-Tone: 1
Using LED light technology these light boxes let you animate any image with a sequence of coloured light. As in a conventional light box the image is back lit,
but as the colour changes it interacts with the print so emphasising similar or diminishing opposite colours. The result is a sometimes surprising and always
fascinating interplay between true and artificial colours which slowly transform the image from normality through abstract impressions and back to normality again.
 
An important feature is that we can emphasise the subject and separate it from the background by creating two independently lit areas, we call this Duo-Tone
and each light box has to be set up to match the print. In Duo-Tone the colour sequencing in each area is separately controlled. (cont)
